Had a great time at the party. I stayed well out of the sun and wore a hat most of the time for good measure.
Of course I only took 3 or 4 pictures. Sometimes I wonder why I bother to take my camera.
The sunburn is still going strong. Now the blisters are growing before our eyes, popping and oozing and then growing again. I called the doctor and quite frankly, they didn't seem concerned. I can make an appointment if I "feel like I need to be seen." I asked my mom if she remembered what the doctor did when I was a kid and had sun poisoning and she said "nothing." Basically, you keep yourself comfortable, keep the area clean, dry and moisturized and just wait it out.
I have decided to paint the hutch white and see if I like it better. I figure I should give it whatever chance I can before I get rid of it.
Of course, the whole reason I am freaking out and trying to get rid of everything stems from sitting in the house and staring at the walls for 6 weeks. Because, really, we don't have much compared to most families. I am just unhappy because it all seems so big and dark. It doesn't help that my couch and loveseat are a dark pattern that I am not particularly fond of, either. Once we are back from vacation I am going to spend a little money and make it all better. Slip covers and white paint for the furniture should do the trick. Only then will I get rid of something. A second chance is the least I can do. :o)

Sorry to hear about the sunburn, I just got scorched myself. I wanted to comment because I've been so darn busy with my parent planning business that I haven't been able to enjoy a lot of personal time lately and one of the things I like to do when I get home is kick back and read your blog. So I just wanted to say that I appreciate your hard work and love to hear whats next. Thank you.
